Here's how you can become a better article writer:
1. The first step to take is to fully understand what your readers expect to get from you. As a writer, you must not rely solely on your gut feel as you could be wrong. It's always safe to ask your audience directly so you can make the whole thing well-guided. If you have the time, I suggest that you conduct short interviews on forums and blogs. Pay attention to what they are saying and to what they're not saying; active listening will surely take you farther in this endeavor.
2. Get better at your craft. Don't be content with your skills. Instead, strive to stay on top of your game by constantly finding ways on how you can get better in this field. I recommend that you take advantage of free writing seminars that are offered in the online arena. It would also help if you exert effort to know the techniques and secrets of those people who are already considered gurus in the field of article writing.
3. Practice makes perfect. The difference between effective writers and those who are not is usually the amount of time they spend writing their articles. If you're really dead serious about enhancing your writing skills, you must make at least one hour per day writing your articles. The longer and the often you practice, the higher your chances of getting the hang of it.
4. Ask for feedback. You're really not the best person to assess your writing skills. If you really want an honest assessment and if you want to know your weaknesses, I suggest that you ask feedback from neutral third parties for each article that you produce.
