Article Marketing - Does it Work?

I always tried to resist getting into Article marketing because I though it was too much of a 'hassle'. I was probably just going through my 'lazy marketing' phase. Once I got started, I was absolutely amazed at the results.

I started with a small group of about twenty articles, these were all related to the product I was marketing. I did some research using some of the free Google tools that are available to find what were the best keywords to use. I then checked those keywords to see how much competition there was, in other words to see how many websites were returned in a simple search on the web.

After writing the first twenty articles, I then published them on my blog, using a separate page for each article and also (this is important), using the keyword in the title of the page for each article. This ensured that the search engines would 'pick up' on this keyword and therefore push me higher up the ranking chart. It worked extremely well!

Once I had published my articles on my own website, the next step was to publish them on a top article marketing or article directory website (this one is a great place to start).The results I started to get from using this method were quite incredible. Not only did I start to get people reading all my articles, but I soon found a relationship between the number of people that read my articles to the number of people that visited my website.

I now use this method of article marketing to generate all of my free website traffic. I have not looked back since those 'lazy' days.
