Writing Articles to Sell More Ebooks - 5 Reasons to Write Articles That Pre-Sell Your Products

Can you really sell more ebooks through article marketing? Absolutely. Articles are a great free way of promoting not only your ebooks, but yourself and your brand at the same time.

1. Writing Articles is Easy - If you have already written your ebook, you have all the tools needed to be able to write articles. Do not over-complicate the process, just create a mini-outline and then get writing. You should only plan on hitting a few top-level points in your article.

Most article directories only require about 250 to 350 words minimum. For an ebook writer (i.e., someone used to writing), this is something that can be done in less than 30 minutes if you focus on the topic at hand and just write.

2. Article Marketing Is Free - I got into article writing and article marketing because it is completely free. You can create an article, submit it to an ezine directory for free and get traffic to your website through that one article for the rest of your life...all completely free!

3. Articles Give You Expert Status - Articles give you the opportunity to show your reader that you know what you are talking about. You provide your expertise and knowledge to the reader and they instantly view you differently - you become an expert in their eyes.

When you write enough articles about your topic, people cannot help but "bump" into your articles when researching your topic online.

4. Articles Pre-Sell Your Readers - There is something called "pre-selling" and it is one of the most powerful tactics for selling ebooks online. By providing outstanding content in your article and helping your readers with a topic that is important to them, they will want to hear more from you. They land on your website with you already having helped them in some way, so they are more open to what you have to share with them. When they read your sales letter, they will not be as skeptical and that should help you sell more ebooks.

5. Your 3 Line Sales Person - I am of course talking about your resource box. The resource box is the section at the end of the article where you tell the reader who you are and include a URL to your website. They can click on the link to go to your website to learn more about you and your ebook.

A well-crafted resource box will flow right from the article and give the reader a call to action and get them clicking on the link to your site.
