Before you can write, either as an affiliate marketer or as a business owner, you have to pick a subject to write about. For the business owner the task is a simple, think of what subjects are important to your customers - the questions they frequently ask, things that you have to explain over and over, a review or comparison of your product or service vs. the competition, and local complimentary resources are all article which could provide valuable information for your clients while gentile directing them to your business - the answer to their problem.Article writing allows you to position yourself as the expert in your field, and that will translate into sale as potential clients read your helpful articles. Here are 8 quick tips to supercharge your articles.
1. Before you write, ask yourself how you can add value to the conversation that is already taking place in your readers mind. Create your article around that conversation.
2. Use the keyword you want to rank for in the title of your article.
3. Keep articles between 400-600 words in length. Any less and you are likely to be leave your reader irritated and feeling like you wasted their time and did not really give them any information. Any more than that and they may lose interest.
4. Use your keyword again in the heading tag at the top of the page, and in the first and last paragraphs. You want the search engines to know what you are talking about without flagging you for spam. So aim for a keyword density of about 5%, and be sure that your article has useful, relevant information that your readers will appreciate.
5. Give the reader a reason to click. Answer their question and then pose a follow-up that they may not have thought about. You can point them to your site where you will present them with the answer - as well as more information and an opportunity to buy your product or service.
6. After you have finished writing your article, rewrite it. Even the best writers go through numerous edits before their works ever see the light of day, the least you can do is make sure you've formed complete sentences.
7. Your articles are your chance to stand out from the crowd and provide a real service to your reader. Be sure to answer their questions and they will trust you as a source of valuable information.
8. Use a conversational tone. This goes back to the beginning - your reader is having a conversation in their mind about the subject if you can approach them in a conversational way, they will be much more open to what you are telling them and much more willing to follow your links to continue the conversation on your site.
