Step-B-Step Installation
As all the artikel operating systems go, Windows XP is very smart. For many configurations, you can just boot up, put the CD in the drive, and start running Setup. The system of artikel will install without a hiccup.
Setup will then perform a more thorough check of your system, including looking for installed components of Windows and making sure that you have enough hard drive space to complete the installation of artike.
After copying all the artikel files required for setting up of Windows XP, the artikel setup wizard will restart your computer and finish up. Your system might not restart by itself. Wait five minutes or so, and if nothing appears to be happening, hit the artikel Reset button on your computer. This won't harm your installation and is not a sign of installation failure. After the artikel restart, Windows XP still has a few chores. It will detect and set up plug-and-play devices and possibly other hardware whose settings could not be taken over from Windows XP. This may involve restarting again.
Then setup will run through a series of other tasks, including setting up the artikel Control Panel and putting your programs on the artikel Start menu. The last one, updating system settings, may take quite a while. Finally, there will be another restart, and you will see the artikel Welcome to Windows screen and will take you through a beautiful video highlighting the various new features of Windows XP.
One distinct feature of Windows XP is the artikel user name with password, without which this version would not work. In earlier versions, you could bypass it by using Esc key. So make sure you give the user name and password very carefully.
Once installed the Windows XP screen would look like the artikel one shown on the next page. With your Windows XP fully installed, you can go ahead and start working.
