More and more people are choosing to start their own business. They either have lost their jobs, want to live their dreams or are tired of making their bosses richer. They research the different opportunities that are available to them or they already know what type of a business they want to open because of their passions. However, many of them are not fully prepared for the time and effort that goes into running a business.Once they get deep into entrepreneurship, they start stressing out because of the fact that they have to wear so many hats. They have to be owner, marketer, salesman, secretary and manager. However, so many entrepreneurs are still reluctant to hire help. It could be because they don't have the money or they don't want somebody else in their office.
With today's technology it's still amazing how so many people still have the mindset that the only way they can receive help is to hire an in-house employee. The reason for that could simply be because they do not know the symptoms of when it's time to seriously consider outsourcing.
Who's that in my house?-When you have gotten to the point that you don't remember what your family looks like because you are spending so much time traveling, behind the computer screen or on the phone, it's time to consider outsourcing some tasks.
Projects start feeling unloved-When you start having projects that seem to be getting a complex because you keep putting them on the backburner and not paying attention to them, it's time to consider outsourcing.
Customers think they are talking to a recording-If your customers think they are talking to a recording and not a live person because you are just so backed up with work that you keep repeating the same thing over and over again, it's time to consider outsourcing.
If the messy desk fairy visits-If your desk is so covered with papers, sticky notes, projects etc that it seems like the messy desk fairy appears every night, it's time to consider outsourcing.
If your computer and phone quiver in fear- If it seems like you are sitting at the computer or talking on the phone every waking minute of your day, it's time to consider outsourcing.
While we know that these symptoms are extreme, (computers and phones can't quiver in fear) they are still very real. Remember, you run the business, the business doesn't run you. Outsourcing can be a great resource for any business.
